I have but a few live shows under my belt. Far too many of my favorite bands either aren't around any more; the ones that are still active often wouldn't be coming locally. The ones I have made it to were all awesome; Lars had the club atmosphere working for it, and Molly's had a large-club ambiance itself. I generally make thoroughly sure I like the band before going to a show - the recorded material helps with this, and knowing the recorded versions helps me "get" those songs when they are played live.

During the Flogging Molly and (2nd) K. Flay show, I did a bunch of txt-based Twittering with setlist info and other comments. I'll probably continue that habit to an extent with regards to my future shows.
